Manitoba

The province is located in western Canada and is home to Winnipeg, along with Ontario to the east and Saskatchewan to the west. Manitoba has been known for its rich agricultural production for generations.

Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP), also called a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), is one of the immigration paths for foreign nationals to become permanent residents of Canada.

Intro

With the PNP, the province aims to attract skilled workers, workers in sectors with labour shortages, recent graduates, and agricultural entrepreneurs to the province.

The province operates several immigration streams that are sub-divided into four groups: skilled workers, workers in sectors with labour shortages, recent graduates, and agricultural entrepreneurs.

  • Skilled Workers in Manitoba (SWM)
  • Skilled Workers Overseas (SWO)
  • International Education Stream (IES)
  • Business Investor Stream (BIS)

Skilled Workers (from Manitoba)

The Manitoba Skilled Workers program is divided into three immigration streams that target workers who have previously gained employment experience or who have been hired by Manitoba employers.

In order to qualify for this stream, candidates must live and work in Manitoba at the moment of their application, or they may be invited to apply following a recruitment session with MPNP overseas.

Manitoba Business Investor Stream

Business Investor Stream (BIS) is a collection of two immigration streams designed for business managers and entrepreneurs in Manitoba who are interested in starting new businesses.

Business proposals from entrepreneurs in a variety of sectors can be submitted in the entrepreneurial stream, while farm investor proposals are targeted exclusively at entrepreneurs in the agriculture sector.
